September 29, 1999 : Well, I promised I would update more often, and looky here.  It's only been 3 days. =)  Aren't ya'll proud of me?  Well, my esteemed colleague over at The Unofficial Dixie Chicks Homepage tells me that she has some pictures of Natalie for me.  I've yet to see them, but I know that I can trust ol' Lynndy, so you should all be seeing some new pics up soon.  Other than that, I can't say much really other than I've taken the time to add a new quiz.  So everyone vote darn it!!!!!  Other than that remember that "I'm in the business of making people happy." September 26, 1999 : Boy do I have stuff to tell ya'll!!!  Well, first off, I've added a few pictures to the gallery.  They're all screenshots I took from videos of Natalie.  One is from "Wide Open Spaces", and the other 5 are from "Ready To Run."  I hope you like those.  I know I should be updating much more often, but college life is busy and if I promise I'll update tomorrow, I probably won't, and then you'll all hate me, so let's just say that I'll update when I can. =)  There's plenty to feast your eyes upon here, though, so that you should never get bored.  I've made a couple of additions to the links page today, and added a "Recognition" section to the gallery.  This is a place where I'll put any recognition I get for loving Natalie so much...I mean, for keeping up this site. ;-)  The section is honored in with none other that a mention of this very site in Country Weekly!!!!  I was so excited.  It's in the October 5, 1999 issue, page 55.  I've scanned in a portion of the page of course to show off.  You can look at it here if you want.  Also, I've wrapped up this poll that's been going since May (it was a long one, I know).  There were 574 respondents, and as you can see below they all concluded that Aaron and I are both nuts (although I'd like to point out that I did come ahead of Aaron).  

April 25, 1999 : It's about time there was a massive update, huh? Well today we have one, folks! I've added 10 new pics to the gallery--8 in concert, and 2 in miscellaneous. I'd like to think Lynndy again for a couple of pics, and also Janelle over at "A Tribute to the Dixie Chicks." You can find links to both gals' pages in "The Other Chicks" section. Then I'd also like to think the guy who sent me the high school senior picture of Natalie!! I meant to include his name on here, but email problems caused me to lose his name. Thanks whoever you are! Other than the lovely addition of the pics, I've changed the poll. For the news record the stats came out :

April 15, 1999 : I held out as long as I could, but I just had to go for another update. =) I really don't have much to show but one lone pic of Natalie in the bathtub. Don't worry--I didn't spy on her from that oak tree in her front yard. =P It's the latest Candies Ad from the May issure of Seventeen. Yes, I bought a Seventeen magazine. If Natalie ever drops by, she can NEVER say I'm not devoted. =) Nothing but the best here at Natalie Maines, Will You Marry Me? Anyway, I'll be lookin' for some new pics and info to update with, but it looks like things have slowed down in the update department. I'll be changing the poll soon, and adding whatever pics and info I can scrape up. =) I might even create a Natalie Desktop Theme to pass the time. April 8, 1999 : Bonjour! Welcome to Natalie Maines, Will You Marry Me? -- the web site that strives to be the foremost authority and source of information about the beautiful and talented Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks. Today is quite an update, too. =) I've added a whopping 15 images to the picture gallery: 3 in Magazine, and 12 in the newly opened section, Television Pics. Thanks to Lynndy for the 3 Magazine pics, and thanks to Me for the 12 Howie Mandel Interview pics. =) I've also added a "Sounds of Natalie" section to the Downloadables page in the gallery. Here you can download .wav files of some cute and happy moments in the Chicks and Natalie world. With all of this, you should have hours of fun here now. =) Or at least, tens of minutes. April 7, 1999 : Welcome back. I've got some nice pics coming your way that I took from the Howie Mandel Interview, but due to the hour of night that it is, I'm going to have to throw those up later. Today I have a somewhat minor update though. If you click on the title above, you will be whisked away to The Semi-Secret Logos Page. There you can find banners and logos to use on your site should you wish to link back to here. The reason I share this today is because there are some new additions. First is an animated banner for Natalie Maines, Will You Marry Me? which I'm very proud of. =) And second, is a graphic that combines two sites: Natalie Maines, Will You Marry Me? and Martie Seidel, Will You Be My New Best Friend? This graphic is pretty funny, but requires an imagemap for the two links to work right. Not a problem, though, cuz I've even included the code on The Semi-Secret Logos Page. So, enjoy that and feel free to use any of the logos you find! The more advertisement the better to make sure Natalie is the most sought after and popular girl on the net. =) So, until the pictures come, "I try to kill one [indian] a day; and I figure it's there fault, too, for living on our land before we got here." April 4, 1999 : Howdy once again! Sorry for the delay in updates, but easter stole my attention away. I've added three new pics in the magazine section today (once again thanks to Lynndy). There's also a new site I'd like to make my visitors aware of: Martie Seidel, Will You Be My New Best Friend? This site is kept up by Erin, and as you might have guessed the inspiration was drawn from this very site. Although I can't say Martie is cuter than Natalie, I can say that she's an integral part of the Chicks that you should check out. =P Other than that, keep an eye out for some new screenshots from a Howie Mandel interview I taped. They should be up in a few days. Natalie Maines, Will You Marry Me? is still growing too, being alive for a tad over 1 month. Guess Natalie's a hit! March 28, 1999 : Not a huge update today, but there are 4 new pics for you all to enjoy : concert, 1; magazine, 1; miscellaneous, 2. Other than that, nothing new to report. I owe thanks once again to Lynndy for the wonderful pics. She has a knack for finding everything that is even somewhat Dixie Chicks related and scanning the pics in for me. =) I also wanna leak a little rumor that there's fixing to be a site launched tentatively titled, "Martie Seidel, Will You Be My New Best Friend?" Of course you can see what page was the inspiration for that. =P It'll be nice to get some friendly rivalry going about Natalie and Martie. March 25, 1999 : Welcome once again to Natalie Maines, Will You Marry Me? I've got a couple of new things for you all today. Four new pics adorn the 120-pic strong gallery today, 3 in magazine and 1 in awards show. Thanks again to Lynndy at the Unofficial Dixie Chicks Homepage. I've also changed the poll. But for the record here in the news update, when asked the question "Which of Natalie's features are most attractive?" 159 respondents said: Eyes, 22%; Face, 28%; Voice, 20%; and the winner -- Personality, 30%! I'm sort of surprised voice came in so low, considering that's her profession, but hey, what're ya gonna do? March 24, 1999 : Howdy folks! I've got a few precious updates today. To start there are two new pics in the concert section. Special thanks to Susan Putney for letting me use them -- and drop by her site, Sportybabe's George Strait Photo Gallery Index. I've also added a link to her George Strait Festival Poll on the links page so those of you who have seen the chicks there can voice your opinions. Also today I've joined the Dixie Chicks Banner Exchange which is just one more way to find the other chicks webmasters out there. You can find the cycling banners on the links page. That's about all for this fine Wednesday afternoon. I'm certainly looking for more information and pictures as always. March 23, 1999 : Not a whole lot to mention today, but I do have one new pic that is really a doozy. =) It shows off Natalie's Beautiful blue eyes wonderfully. Special thanks to Nici *NicChick* for letting me have the picture that she put together. March 19, 1999 : Today was a pretty substantial update. I apologize deeply for the HUGE delay in updates, but spring break left me without a computer. I think I made it up with todays update though, so don't worry just yet! =) First off, I added 6 new pics to the magazine section which I received from the lovely Lynndy at the Unofficial Dixie Chicks Homepage. They're really nice pictures of the lovely Natalie. I've also added a No Frames option for those who still hate frames. The menu options are now also located on the bottom of each page in case you choose to disable the framed menu. I'm excited that Natalie Maines, Will You Marry Me? is picking up momentum. I hope to keep increasing the viewer base, though, so if you want to link to my site, please click on the logo above and pick out a banner you'd like to put on your page! =) The more advertisement I can get, the better. March 7, 1999 : Not too big of an update today. Just 4 new pictures--three concert and 1 miscellaneous. Hope you all enjoy! March 4, 1999 : Lots of new stuff today! Woohoo! There are four new pics in the Album Section and Awards Show Section. I've also added a Downloadables section to the Gallery which will be great for any non-picture Natalie stuff. So far, there's a wallpaper and a Sound Scheme I concocted. Both of these were released to the Unofficial Dixie Chicks Homepage before now so it may be old hat to some of you (there are also other Dixie Chicks Wallpaper Images by me there). Other than that, I'm proud to boast almost 300 hits, and pretty good response on the poll. Looks like Natalie Maines, Will You Marry Me? is here to stay in the online Dixie Chicks community. March 2, 1999 : Not a whole lot to show for the day...There are a couple of signatures in the guestbook. =) That's great! Also today I made a few aesthetic changes to the main page, was officially added to The Dixie Chicks Web Ring, and started a Poll. The poll below will change periodically, and in grand Natalie Maines, Will You Marry Me? fashion it will ALWAYS pertain to Natalie! One more tidbit of info--a poll done by Lynndy at the Unofficial Dixie Chicks Homepage found that 30% of those who voted would rather be friends with Natalie than any other chick. March 1, 1999 : Today was a pretty eventful day here. I've joined two web rings, added a guestbook and 1 new picture in miscellaneous pics (it's a real cutie). I'm also proud to say that I have almost 100 hits on the web page. That's pretty good for the first full day running. Let me urge all who drop by to sign my guestbook by either scrolling down or clicking here. I want to hear from all of you Dixie Chicks fans and Natalie fans alike! February 28, 1999 : Welcome to Natalie Maines, Will You Marry Me?!! Tonight is the official opening of the site that pays tribute to the talented, beautiful and cute Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks. As you can see, this site is ALL Natalie. Martie and Emily are great, but my goal was to aim straight for Miss Maines. If you do want to get info on the Dixie Chicks as a whole, you can swing into "The Other Chicks" for links to complete Dixie Chicks Web Sites. But nowhere will you find such a complete listing of Natalie Maines. That's my goal. Feedback is always appreciated, and updates will be frequent as I get new information and pictures. Also, I will be joining a few web rings over the next few days. So keep an eye out. =) Until the next update, I just want Natalie to know that if she needs Wide Open Spaces, then in the words of Tracy Byrd (Big Love), "I've got a love full of Wide Open Spaces..."--Mav-1701

February 26, 1999 : Today marks the first day that Natalie Maines, Will You Marry Me? has a news update. As of now, the site has not officially been launched and is in the planning and editing stages. Today, though, all links work (albeit they lead to construction pages) and all core graphics are in place. The functional links page known as "The Other Chicks" is fully operational at this time with a few links and such. In the future this news page will serve two purposes. One of them is to inform everyone of site changes and updates. The other is to inform everyone of any Dixie Chicks or Natalie Maines information that is newsworthy. I hope this site will slowly gain a fan base and be a vital part of the online Dixie Chicks community. And if not, I sure had a great time putting it together! I'm totally crazy about Miss Maines, but all of that can be saved for the future "Why I Love Natalie" page. =) I hope everyone enjoys the site, and if you want to add a link, by all means feel free!! The truth is that I have an insuppressible love for Natalie Maines, and I wanted the world to share in that love with me. This site is not meant to insult Martie or Emily in any way--they are both integral and lovely parts to the Dixie Chicks. Likewise, this site is also not meant to insult Miss Maines herself. She is a beautiful, cute and talented woman who I felt needed some attention in the internet community. So, in short, if you think this site is cool, buy Wide Open Spaces and support the Chicks. Without them as a whole, Natalie wouldn't be accessible for me to swoon over. =)
